WCB Survival Guide

It might be interesting as a member’s project to create a WCB survival guide. Maybe with inclusions of those few items that does differ from province to province.

Many of us, especially those who have been in the system for over 10 years know full well that they wish they knew from the start what we know now, what we would have done different etc.

In my own experience one galling example comes to mind. I made one horrible mistake that WCB took to the bank and cashed it like gold bullion.

When doctors told me I might never be able to work again, and suggested entering into my file, I objected at being so easily written off, I wanted to try get healed, I wanted to try to see if I could re-enter the work place.

The WCB used the missing information by doctors as proof I was too lazy to return to work. Efforts to heal by attempting to go for walks were followed by spy cameras fictitiously proving I could walk quite fine, using cut and paste to distort the truth.

I know now that landing on WCB is like having 100 guns pointed at your head and having to pretend that all is fine.

We all have experiences that will give us nightmares for life, maybe we should include why they occurred in the survival guide.

Lets toss this about then if you all like the idea we can start a thread that we can keep at the top of a designated forum.
