About Us

"
It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others or strikes out against injustice he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

Community of Injured Workers in Canada.

A brief history,

WCBCANADA was created in part by a group of webmasters initially addressing the problems of Injured Workers in British Columbia. The collaboration to join forces vs. having individual websites was deemed to be a much better strategy in dealing with the deliberate abuse by the Workers Compensation Board in British Columbia.

I would like to thank those webmasters who were the founders of BCWCB, you all know who you are, and for privacy reason we will not mention their names. WCB has a tendency to attack individuals whom embrace the Canadian right to freedom of the press, especially if they have control of these individuals income.

It was not long in running under the domain name of BCWCB.COM injured workers from all over Canada, and indeed the rest of the world asked if they could participate and learn from one another.

In the year 2000 WCBCANADA was formed as a new domain by Reinier Kanis of British Columbia, who was and still remains the primary Webmaster of WCBCANADA. This effort was done with the support of those webmasters who pioneered the effort of bring justice to Compensation Boards.

Workers Compensation has given new meaning to the lives of many injured workers, (defined as long term or permanently disabled workers) The mission given by the incentive of abuse by the Compensation Boards has put many injured workers into a life time career of fighting abuse, fighting for justice.

We do believe that some time in Canadian History, injured workers will be classified among the abused Canadians such as the Chinese and Japanese immigrant workers during World War II, and dating even further back the Aboriginal Indians of Canada.

Considering what Canada is stealing from injured workers in Canada, the cost to settle these claims may match or surpass that of the claims made by the Japanese, Chinese, and Aboriginals of Canada.

This should be a wakeup call to all Canadians, let us not create additional atrocities as a legacy for our children to be indebted for.
